About Project 3
For project 3, I wanted to have one device that would be able to display all of the information I need throughout the day. So a smart mirror would solve the issue of having different information all in one place whilst still having functionality that fits in a room. The frame of the mirror is made out of wood and has a robust design that can fit on any table. The mirror runs on an open source Raspberry Pi program know as Magic Mirror which I used to run different programs to display information such as the date and time, calander, spotify songs, news, and more. The software runs on the Raspberry Pi and gets displayed onto a 20 inch monitor that is housed behind a one way mirror. This along with the blackout panel allows the text and widgets to be visable on the mirror.
